Unreal Engine 3D Platformer

This was a personal study focused on creating a 3D Platformer, with the purpose of focusing on creating and implementing vertical elements. It was a great opportunity to improve and refine mechanics, and experiment with 3D platforming, and how it changes the metrics and movement in contrast to the previous 2.5D Platformer Project. This involved a lot more hands on with testing the 3D elements of platforming, and making sure that the player mechanics and platforming mechanics mesh well with each other.
What I did:

Developed and created a mechanics gym to measure the metrics of the level, and the metrics of the combined player mechanics.

Used Unreal Engine blueprinting system to create platforming and hazard mechanics.

Blocked out level using Unreal Engine tools.

Play tested and iterated level blockout based on playtest results.
