Enemy Designer.  (May 2025- August 2025)

Responsibilities:​

  • Created on character move sets, weapons, and purposes in game.

  • Created and collaborated on enemy design

  • Collaborated on Level layout and method of progression

  • Playtesting the game, and communicating feedback and directions to move forwards in design meetings.

Wave Balancing and Character Design

The character design was an interesting challenge, because I had to make different characters that worked to have different functions as a part of a team, but also have individual functions and playstyles as characters. I started this in a similar fashion to when I worked on the enemies in Knife Trick, where I took a base character and iterated a couple of characters off that character. Playtesting and collaboration with other designers and teammates proved crucial to this endeavor, because it gave a sense of how the weapons felt to use.

Wave balancing was a bit tougher, because I had more enemies to work with. This proved to be a bit of a challenge, because of the wide variety of enemies that we used. In the end, we ended up cutting down the enemies to an extent due to time constraints, but it was successful in making a consistent enemy structure.
